Mana Chuma Teatro has been selected in the framework of the project SOFIGREEN project to take part in a capacity-building programme focused on the ecological transition of its operational activities and practices in the cultural and artistic sector.
SOFIGREEN – Social Finance for Social Greening is a project co-funded by the European Commission and supported by a network of key players in social economy and ethical finance: the leader organisation Fondazione MeSSInA (IT), along with Archer Group (FR), MedWaves (ES), FAECTA (ES), Banca Popolare Etica (IT), La Nef (FR), Fondazione con il Sud (IT), FEBEA (BE), and REVES (BE).
SOFIGREEN focuses on supporting the ecological transition through transnational cooperation and improved, more conscious access to financial tools for SMEs in the social economy, as well as entrepreneurs operating within the social and local economy ecosystem. The project aims to empower social economy enterprises and entrepreneurs to meet the targets set by the EU Green Deal, enhancing their skills and capabilities, improving sustainable management, and fostering the ecological transformation of their operations.
On 6 and 7 February 2025, Mana Chuma Teatro participated in the SOFIGREEN Cross-Border Event, hosted by the French cities of Valence and Romans-sur-Isère.
This international encounter brought together over 50 social economy enterprises from Italy, France, and Spain. Among the participating organisations were businesses active in various sectors, including culture and services, circular economy, education, renewable energy, tourism, and sustainable mobility. The event also welcomed enterprises strongly committed to labour inclusion. All share a common goal: to enhance the green transition of their activities.
This meeting was a valuable opportunity for Mana Chuma Teatro to present its mission, objectives, and activities to the other organisations during interactive working sessions held in small groups. These sessions were designed not only to explore the key themes addressed by the project but also to foster networking among the participants, especially those with shared interests in related fields and sectors of activity.
