MANA CHUMA AMONG THE INITIATIVES IDENTIFIED IN NATIONAL RESEARCH INTO THIRD-SECTOR ORGANISATIONS AND CULTURAL HERITAGE
Mana Chuma Teatro has been identified as one of the particularly noteworthy initiatives in the national research project Participation in the Management of Cultural Heritage: Assessing the Impact of Shared Management, promoted by the National School of Cultural Heritage and Activities.
The association took part in the research by completing a questionnaire addressed to Third-Sector Organisations (TSOs), contributing to a study aimed at exploring the role of organisations in the care and management of cultural heritage and developing a model for assessing the impact of their activities.
Following an analysis of the questionnaires received, Mana Chuma’s experience was selected for further qualitative investigation. The association was therefore invited to take part in an online focus group, alongside other organisations operating in different parts of the country and with similar organisational profiles in terms of size.
The meeting will provide an opportunity to exchange views on management practices, as well as the opportunities and challenges faced by cultural organisations in different local contexts. The contributions gathered will feed into the qualitative analysis of the research.
This is an important opportunity to share Mana Chuma’s journey and practices, while contributing to a broader reflection on the role of Third-Sector Organisations in the care, management and enhancement of cultural heritage.
The first presentation of the research findings is available in the research StoryMap:
