HANDOVER AGREEMENT SIGNED WITH MANA CHUMA AND SCIROCCO ARL
A new chapter is beginning for the “Nicola Antonio Manfroce” Cinema-Theatre in Palmi. This morning, at Palmi Town Hall, the handover agreement was signed, formally transferring the venue to the consortium formed by Mana Chuma ETS, as lead partner, and Scirocco ARL, which has been awarded the contract for the theatre’s management, development and promotion.
The signing was attended by Palmi Mayor Giovanni Calabria, Deputy Mayor Salvatore Celi and Councillors Carmelo Ciappina, Lucia Muscari, Domenica Bagalà and Francesco Trentinella, together with Town Clerk Antonio Quattone and municipal officer Antonino Scarfone.
Representing Mana Chuma Teatro were President Massimo Barilla and Board Member Luigi Polimeni, while Scirocco ARL was represented by its legal representative, Nicola Cosenza.
The signing brings to a close the administrative process initiated with the public call for expressions of interest published in February 2025, and officially marks the beginning of a new chapter in the theatre’s management.
This is an important step for Mana Chuma and Scirocco, which will now work together to manage and develop a cultural venue of significance for the city of Palmi and the wider area.
The cultural programme that will shape this new phase will be presented in the coming months. The ambition is to make the Manfroce Theatre a vibrant, open and multidisciplinary space dedicated to artistic creativity and to bringing together different forms of expression, artists and communities at local and Mediterranean levels.
