New Publication — “Cahier des Passerelles No. 64”

J’aimerais regarder mes pensées is a small poetry chapbook bringing together a selection of texts in French by Elizabeth Grech (Mana Chuma Teatro), accompanied by linocuts by Martine Le Calonnec, where words and images converse with subtlety.

This volume appears as Cahier des Passerelles No. 64, published by the Association Les Passerelles, an independent publishing house located in Auvergne, under the direction of Lionel Balard, poet and visual artist. Since 2009, this series has offered accessible booklets, conceived on an artisanal scale, bringing together the work of poets and printmakers while exploring a wide range of artistic forms.

Printed in a limited edition of 50 copies, each cahier is crafted with meticulous care, with close attention to gesture and material.

In this Cahier des Passerelles No. 64, the poems, translated from Maltese into French by Elizabeth Grech, benefited from the meticulous eye and attentive editing of Philippe Parizot-Clerico. This project also came into being thanks to the connections woven by Paul Busuttil.

Faithful to a demanding vision of creativity, these Cahiers advocate for contemporary poetry as a way of being in the world—attentive, free, and open—nurtured through a close relationship with the engraved image.
