As part of the events scheduled in the framework of the Malta Book Festival, an initiative of the Malta Book Council taking place from 18 to 22 October 2023.
Eight women writers, eight voices. The only point of departure is another voice, strong even in fragile moments, that of Maria Grech Ganado, Malta’s first woman to bear the title of a laureate poet. The aim is for words to feed words, for the experiences of these nine women writers, however different, to weave themselves into a single chain, a single necklace or a single array. With their new texts written for the occasion, Clare Azzoppardi, Miriam Calleja, Leanne Ellul, Claudia Gauci, Elizabeth Grech, Simone Inguanez, Klara Vassallo and Nadia Mifsud will share with the audience various aspects of what it means to be a woman today.
