Mana Chuma becomes a member of IETM.
IETM is an international network for contemporary performing arts including over 500 performing arts organisations and individual members working in the contemporary performing arts worldwide: theatre, dance, circus, performance, interdisciplinary live art forms, new media. Members include festivals, companies, producers, theatres, research and resource centres, universities and institutional bodies.
Activities:
– Organisation of two plenary meetings a year in different European cities, and smaller meetings all over the world.
– Commission of publications and research projects.
Objectives:
– To facilitate communication and distribution of information.
– To advocate the value of the arts and culture in a changing world.
– To empower performing arts professionals through access to international connections, knowledge and a dynamic forum for exchange.
– To help members build more inclusive organisations and work.
– To encourage underrepresented performing arts professionals to join the network and its activities.
